SERIAN: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg has refused to comment further on the latest status pertaining to the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
Abang Johari, who is also in the special cabinet committee on MA63, said he did not want to comment on the contents of the MA63 final report.
When asked whether there was any recent meeting with the committee, he said, “I don’t know…you (reporters) ask the Jawatankuasa Pemandu (task force).”
He said this to reporters when met after attending the state-level Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s official birthday celebration at SJKC Chung Hua Serian yesterday.
On Sept 5, de facto Law Minister Liew Vui Keong said the special task force on the implement of the MA63 had completed its final report on Aug 31.
“The final report will be tabled in a special cabinet committee meeting, and expected to be held in one month from today,” he said.
He said the report had also been forwarded to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, Abang Johari and other task force members for a final review.
