SIBU: Those who intend to donate blood are invited to participate in a mass blood donation campaign to be held from 8.30am to 12 noon today at the Food Garden of Wisma UCA, Jalan Alan here.
This programme, to be held concurrently in 40 centres nation-wide throughout September, is led by Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (Liam).
Here, the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (Namlifa) Sibu is collaborating with Rejang Medical Centre, Great Eastern Life, Sibu Vegetable Planters Association and the adult fellowship of Shiuan Daw Methodist Church to organise the event.
So far, over 50 individuals have registered. Breakfast will be prepared for donors at the Food Garden.
As a token of appreciation, successful donors will be given a set of eggs, exclusive free towel, Namlifa medal, blood-screening voucher and a book on a “first-come-first-served basis”.
