KUCHING: A family of seven was left homeless after their house at Lorong 12, Kampung Ma’ang, Jalan Kuching-Serian was razed by fire on Friday afternoon.

Hope Place was alerted to their predicament and delivered immediate help yesterday.

Its founder Kelvin Wan handed over food items (rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, noodles, biscuits and Milo), toiletries (soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes), blankets, towels, stationeries, pillows, mattress and sanitary napkins to one of the fire victim Simon Chary Francis Nasin.

According to Simon, the fire started around 3.30pm. However, no injuries were reported.
