KUCHING: The Satok Fiesta 3.0 slated for Sept 28 and 29 at the Sungai Maong Community Hall has been rescheduled to Oct 26 and 27.
Organising chairman for the event Penghulu Giam Ann Kee said the postponement of the event was in view of the haze situation which currently registered an unhealthy air quality index (AQI).
The AQI will remained unpredictable until the end of this month, hence the decision to move the event to the next month, he said, adding the decision was for the best interests of all the participants, members and helpers of the organising committee.
Penghulu Giam, however, expressed regret for any inconveniences caused and thanked all parties involved for their kind understanding while appealing for continued supports from all.
The fiesta, which is organised by Friendly Neighbourhood Committee (KJM) from various areas of Sungai Maong under the jurisdiction of Kuching North City Hall (DBKU), promises lots of fun and exciting activities for the whole family.
Some of the activities lined up are karaoke competition, colouring competition, table tennis, flea market, futsal tournament, short distance run, blood donation campaign, health screening, chocolate designing contest and cooking competition.
