The house of Cartier is celebrating its now-iconic La Panthère fragrance’s fifth anniversary, with two limited-edition bottles. For the occasion, the diamond-cut vessel will be dressed in a solar golden hue. La Panthère has been part-and-parcel of the Cartier brand for decades now, first in the world of jewelry, then as a now-iconic fragrance.
The majestic feline first appeared as a spotted timepiece in 1914 and became indissociable with the house’s jewelry line — from rings to bracelets and necklaces, eventually appearing on some of the brand’s small leather goods. In 2014, Cartier’s perfumer Mathilde Laurent combined earthy cypress with a wild floral accord, giving birth to La Panthère eau de parfum.
The fragrance blends notes of gardenia to sensual musk and cypress touches. To celebrate five years of success, La Panthère will be dressed in two limited-edition bottles. And while the facetted, sculptural shape of the vessel remains, it has been given a golden solar makeover. Two sizes will be available: 25 ml and 75 ml. – Relaxnews
