KUALA LUMPUR: The 2019 SEA Games host, the Philippines SEA Games Organising Committee (PHISGOC) was still amending the dates and venues of the competitions, with less than two months before the opening ceremony on Nov 30.
Malaysia’s deputy Chef-de-Mission, Nurul Huda Abdullah said in the latest update, PHISGOC had informed on date changes for 10 sports, namely boxing,
baseball, beach handball, canoe/kayak, duathlon, fencing, floorball, women’s football, softball and triathlon
It was also learnt that the
organiser had yet to send the technical handbooks for a number of sports.
“The changes of dates
involves adjustment of one to two days, here and there, but not major changes.
“For the athletes, not so much impact, only for administrators as some might have booked their flight tickets and so on. – Bernama
