KUCHING: An Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) from Limbang Division Land and Survey Department has won the Chief Minister’s Innovation Award 2019.
The group named Lands Tahai Q took home cash prize of RM10,000, a trophy, and a certificate during the Sarawak Civil Service Innovation Convention Awards (SCSICA) 2019 held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here on Wednesday.
The ICC Digital Award was won by Limbang District Office and Limbang Division Land and Survey Department – taking home a cash prize of RM5,000.
Four groups were also awarded for participating in the International Convention of Quality Control Circle (ICQCC) 2019 which was held in Tokyo, Japan in September – namely Miri City Council, Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC), Sri Aman District Council and Sarawak State Treasury Department.
The best exhibition award for the local authority category was won by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU). The Resident and District office category was won by Limbang District Office and Limbang Division Land and Survey Department.
The best exhibition in the federal agency category was won by Sri Aman District Education Office while Mukah Division Land and Survey Department took home the prize for the state agency
category. Each of the winners for best exhibition won a cash prize of RM1,000 respectively.
SCSICA is the most prestigious recognition for creativity or innovation, the result of ideas from civil servants aimed at increasing effectiveness and excellent government service.
