KAPIT: Some places in Kapit have been experiencing water supply disruption since yesterday, according to the Kapit Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB).
According to its press statement, the areas involved are Selirik, Bukit Selirik housing area, Taman Gelong, Taman Ixora, the police quarters and high-rise areas.
“The department is in the process of doing repairs.
“The water supply interruption was caused by an explosion on the transformer of a control panel of the old plant relift pump.
“For now, JBALB is still waiting for the replacement parts from Sibu,” the statement added.
The department said it would make sure repairs were done as soon as possible.
It also asked affected residents to store sufficient water supply during the non-peak hours.
