KUCHING: A PBB veteran welcomes Datuk Dr Jerip’s PBB membership. “As a PBB member, I say Datuk Dr Jerip Susil’s move is fine and a wise decision,” said Datuk Peter Minos, a former PBB deputy information chief.
Speaking to New Sarawak Tribune yesterday, Minos said Dr Jerip made a “very wise” political decision in joining PBB where he will be working with many fellow bumiputera politicians. Minos opined that the Bidayuh would have a bigger voice if all the eight Bidayuh-majority state seats are in PBB.
“Look at the Melanaus, they are in a single party and despite their small number they are politically strong,” he said.
SUPP president Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian when contacted for his comments merely said: “ Person can leave but seat remains SUPP.”
