KUCHING: St Thomas’ Cathedral will hold its annual blood donation drive from 8.30am to 2pm this Sunday. The programme venue is the McDougall Hall, Level 3 of the Parish Centre.
The community outreach project by the Cathedral’s Chinese speaking congregation is held in collaboration with the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and supported by the Parish Youth Fellowship.
“We would like to encourage the public, especially young people, to come forward and support this meaningful event,” said organiser Andy Bong in a press release.
“The blood drive is in line with SGH’s year-round campaign ‘Save Lives, Donate Blood’,” Bong said.
Successful blood donors will receive goodie bags filled with items such as 1kg rice, eggs and biscuits.
