KUCHING: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri is inviting makers in and around Miri City to their Makersmeet 2022 on November 12 and 13.
According to a press release issued yesterday, makers in this sense are those who create or invent things utilising traditional crafts or modern technology, such as tech enthusiasts, authors, crafters, wood carvers, hobbyists, painters, tailors, fashion designers, singers, and even farmers,
The two-day event will start from 10am until 5pm and is expected to attract hundreds of visitors each day.
“It will be a venue for everyone to hands-on explore, learn and at the same time, have fun with arts and crafts, electronics, 3D printing, robotics, textile, woodworks, gardening and more.
“Pustaka Negeri Sarawak has been promoting the makers movement with focus on building the network amongst makers, entrepreneurs and highlighting local talents.
“Hence, it is hoped that Makersmeet 2022 will be able to attract as many participants as possible. Registration and participation is free of charge,” it said.
