KUCHING: A new challenger from The Land Below The Wind will take centrestage to showcase his talents in TVSTARZ.
TVS, in a statement today (May 26), said Mohd Rifanzie, also known as Fanzi, was born and raised in Ranau, Sabah.
“Fanzi is prepared to make a name for himself in Sarawak. The English teacher of Dusun descent has always been passionate in singing.
“In 2016, Fanzi won the “Sugandoi Kaamantan”, the biggest singing competition held during “Pesta Kaamatan” when he competed against contestants from other parts of Sabah,” it said.
TVS added that Fanzi’s YouTube cover caught the attention of Indonesian superstar Judika in 2020.
“He was later signed by Nova Music which will soon release his single called “Hati Nan Rapuh”. Earlier this year, he released another song “Ika Noh (It’s You)” with Marsha Milan that is used as the original soundtrack (OST) for “Love Elsa”.
“Fanzi said he wanted to become a singer ever since he was little,” TVS said.
TVS also said TVSTARZ’s unique one-of-a-kind talent competition format had Malaysians on the edge of their seats as the Dream Team fight their way to the top.
The contestants are evaluated by professional judges, namely Ernie Zakri, Amir Jahari and Yudhi Seriestha alongside former Miss World Malaysia Dewi Liana Seriestha as their vocal coach.
“As the remaining Dream Team members Eyqa, Jalee and Jazper are faced with challengers from all over the world including Indonesia, Philippines and Brunei, can they face another challenger from Sabah?
“Watch the contestants battle it out on every Tuesday 9 pm (Malaysian time) on TVS Channel 122 Astro and MYTV, airing simultaneously on TVS Facebook page,” it said.
