KUCHING: The Azan Recitation competition held at SK Rakyat Bolhassan here serves as a platform to develop young muazzin among the community, providing them the training needed to take up the role in the future.

With the added advantage of developing the character of the youth as well inculcate moral values within, it can also teach them the proper and correct technique in reciting the Azan.

New Sarawak Tribune spoke to several participants of the competition to gather their thoughts and experiences on the event.
