KUCHING: The ‘A-‘ rating given by Standard & Poors (S&P) Global on Sarawak is proof that Lim Guan Eng’s assertion the state will go bankrupt within three years, is an insult to Sarawakians.
The rating also has proven the state is in good financial position with high budget flexibility and liquidity.
Sarawak PAS information chief, Zharudin Narudin said this is proof of the weakness of the finance minister and his colleagues in understanding the fiscal position of Sarawak.
“In fact, this S&P is a rating company which is trusted by the minister of finance.
“This rating is good news for Sarawakians who can expect the state’s revenue to increase,” he said.
Sarawakians can enjoy the outcome in the coming year through more financial assistance and other benefits, he added.
