FAMILY HERITAGE… Ajijah Abdullah, 80 years old, spreads out a 300-year-old Pua Kumbu, a traditional Iban woven textile valued at RM130,000.

Originating from Rumah Laso, Kapit, she shared that the Pua Kumbu was woven by her great-great-grandmother, named Sudan, when she was 12 years old.

She operates a stall at the Borneo Craft and Textile Festival 2023 alongside other family members at the Kuching Waterfront, selling various types of traditional Iban products in conjunction with the Sarawak Regatta 2023.
