MIRI: Datin Ho May Ling delivered a heartfelt eulogy for her late husband, Datuk Mutang Tagal during his funeral service on Monday.


She expressed gratitude to God for granting the late Mutang the opportunity to serve as Senate President.


She was also thankful that Mutang could return to Malaysia from Azerbaijan, where he had gone for an official visit and for the support from the Sarawak and Malaysian governments.


She mentioned the visits from Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, which deeply touched her.


She also extended her appreciation to the Azerbaijan government for their medical assistance and evacuation efforts after her late husband fell ill.


“I am eternally indebted to the Azerbaijan government, Malaysia and the Sarawak governments,” she said.


Acknowledging the support received during the emergency, she thanked Senator Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Anifah Aman and everyone involved in securing Mutang’s return to Malaysia.

She also expressed gratitude to the Senate staff in Putrajaya and all agencies involved in the funeral arrangements.


“I thank my father-in-law and my late mother-in-law for having brought up a loving husband,” she said.
