BINTULU: Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’svisionary leadership has been hailed as instrumental in driving the state’s development trajectory forward.

Johnny Pang Leong Ming, the Tanjong Batu assemblyman, praised the Premier’s strategic decisions, which have resulted in the state regaining control over Bintulu Port, MASwings, and securing a majority stake in a commercial bank.

“We believe the taking over of Bintulu Port and MASwings, as well as the acquisition of majority shares in a commercial bank, is a brilliant and extraordinary effort from our Premier as the final steps in creating a comprehensive environment for progress and development in the state.

“As the representative of people at Tanjong Batu, Bintulu, my voters and supporters have placed our trust in our Premier to lead our state towards progress and prosperity,” he said.

Speaking at the Chinese New Year open house hosted by Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bintulu, Pang stressedthe trust placed by his constituents in Abang Johari’s ability to steer the state towards prosperity.

Pang highlighted the Premier’s key role in turning Bintulu into a modern city and assured continuous collaboration between SUPP Bintulu branch and the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government to solve local issues effectively.

“With our Premier’s wise leadership and his commitment to the development of Sarawak, our hopes and expectations for Bintulu’s infrastructure will be met. 

“We look forward to the transformation of Bintulu into a modern and sustainable city that we can all be proud of,” he added. 

The event, graced by Abang Johari, also witnessed the presence of Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr. Sim Kui Hian; Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Stephen Rundi Utom; Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin; and Deputy Minister in the Premier’sDepartment (Law, MA63, and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.
