KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a visit from Malaysia Arts and Culture Practitioner Association (Macpa) Kuching on Monday (June 20).
Led by Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, the purpose was to invite Abang Johari to attend the Humanity and Community Awards ceremony.
The ceremony is also held together with the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage under the auspices of Unesco that is acting in managing and supervising intangible cultural heritage centres in Korea.
Abdul Karim said members from this service centre, which consists of 16 countries, would visit Sarawak to attend the ceremony on June 28.
Also present during Monday’s visit was ministry permanent secretary Hii Chang Kee and Macpa president Marzuki Tambi.
