KUCHING: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Corporation Malaysia at his office yesterday.
The courtesy call led by the SME Corporation’s Sarawak Director, Faiz R Sutarji was to update the Premier on the performance of the agencies under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative, as well as inform about the variety of assistance that has been extended to the Sarawak SME economy.
Faiz and Abang Johari also discussed modern agriculture and agreed that many opportunities and benefits can be generated through modern farming methods, in addition to discussing food safety issues.
“Certainly these inputs will be discussed at the ministry level to identify room for improvement as well as at our capabilities as a federal agency in supporting and assisting the development of small and medium enterprises in Sarawak,” Faiz said when met by the media.
