Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to grace the dinner which will take place at the Alumni Hall of SJK Chung Hua No. 3, Jalan Padungan here on March 29 at 7.30pm. The dinner also coincides with the 35th anniversary celebration of the association.
SJK Chung Hua Bako will be relocated to a 3.48-acre site donated by a local housing developer, Berlian Stabil Sdn. Bhd at Taman Berlian, Kota Samarahan.
The cost of relocation and construction for phase one of the new school project is estimated to be about RM6 million. SJK Chung Hua Bako has been closed down since 2010 due to a shortage of pupils.

The association is a federation of the boards of management of 56 Chinese aided primary schools in Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions.
Since its inception 35 years ago, the association has been helping all its schools to maintain and improve their buildings and amenities by securing allocation of funds from the government as well as sourcing for funds from the general public.
