KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg on Monday (July 6) witnessed the presentation of donation by Sarawak National Youth Organisation (Saberkas) and Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) to the widow of Mohamad Hussein Ali, Selina Hamdi at his office, Wisma Bapa Malaysia.

The late Mohamad, 56, had served as an assistant in the Corporate Management Unit (Public Relations) of Saberkas Sarawak. He passed away at the Sarawak General Hospital last May due to kidney problems.

Saberkas was represented by its secretary-general Safiee Ahmad who presented the cash donation amounting RM27,222.40 while Perkeso also presented the donation of RM2,000 (funeral benefit) to Selina.

Besides that, Selina also received the survivor pension benefit which is a monthly life pension and interest payment for children up to 21 years old.

Also present were Saberkas executive secretary Iszuan Haroni, Perkeso Sarawak director Philip Sangkan and Perkeso Prihatin Kuching squad officer Abang Mohammed Razali Abang Salleh.
