SINGAPORE: Sarawakian entrepreneurs are urged to leverage on the expertise of Singapore in terms of standard and quality. “This is so that our products can penetrate the global market.
“If you can break through Singapore, you can break through parts of the world,” Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg told the media after the Sarawak-Singapore Business Forum & Expo 2019 programme at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre here yesterday.
“We had a good discussion with the Singapore Manufacturers Federation, we will cooperate with them to ensure that our products comply with Singaporean standards,” he added.
Abang Johari disclosed that the state government wants the federation to audit the standardisation process of Sarawak’s products so that they are on par with their own standards.
He said in that way, Sarawak would be assured of its product quality.
