KUCHING: Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) hopes local companies and businesses receive continued support from the state government during the recovery phase of the pandemic.
Yesterday, ACCCIS president Datuk Tan Jit Kee led a delegation to meet with Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan at his office.
Tan said the meeting with Awang Tengah was about accelerating the economic recovery of Sarawak and issues faced by ACCCIS.
“A frank discussion was held on current economic and business issues and challenges. I expressed that local companies and businesses are hoping to receive continued support from the Sarawak government.
“As businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, are still in a recovery process trying get back on their feet, it is important to have support from the state.”
He added that the meeting was fruitful and every deserving issue raised was given immediate and positive feedback.
In addition, Tan noted that ACCCIS would continue to work closely with the Sarawak government and agencies for the common good of the state’s economy.
