KUCHING: The Minister of Utility and Telecommunication (MUT), Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, is leading a delegation from MUT and the Sarawak Digital Economic Corporation (SDEC) to Seoul, South Korea, to discuss matters related to digital innovation with the Global Digital Innovation Network Korea (GDIN).

“We are looking forward to collaborating with South Korea’s Global Digital Innovation Network through SDEC to accelerate Sarawak’s digitalisation adoption by leveraging our respective strengths and expertise in various economic sectors.

“We would also like to learn from South Korea’s experience in developing their startup ecosystem, which has generated impact not only in the domestic market but globally,” said Julaihi in a statement regarding the meeting today.

Earlier, the delegation was briefed by GDIN’s president and chief executive officer, Kim Jongkap.

Also joining the delegation were MUT Deputy Minister Datuk Liwan Lagang, SDEC chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohammad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, and SDEC chief executive officer Sudarnoto Osman.
