MUKAH: A motorcyclist was killed in a fatal accident at Kilometre 134, Sibu-Bintulu Road on Wednesday (Mar 31).
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, in a statement today (Apr 1), said the motorcycle, driven by Adam Abdullah, 44, collided with a lorry on his way to Tatau.
“At 11.30am, both vehicles were heading towards Tatau. The incident occured when the motorcyclist tried to overtake the lorry,” he said.
Alexson said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were later transported to Mukah Hospital for further actions.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he added.
