KUCHING: The Sarawak Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) has a new woman chief – ACP Roselina Daud who officially received her duties today (Oct 17).
The handing over of duties between DSP Tansli Mering and Roselina was witnessed by Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata at the Senior Police Officer’s Mess of Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK).
He also witnessed the handing over of duties for the Simunjan district police chief post between ASP Honchin Ludu and DSP Wong Tee Kue.
As for the post of Simunjan Police Family Association (PERKEP) chairperson, the handing over of duties between Rohida Zaidel and Tan Poh Choo was also witnessed by Mancha.
During his speech, Mancha congratulated the newly appointed department chief and district police chief, and hoped that they are able perform their duties responsibly.
“I urged all of JIPS and Simunjan district police headquarters (IPD) senior officers, low ranking officers and general staff, to show their support and cooperation to their new chiefs.
“Aside from that, I express my thanks to DSP Tansli and ASP Honchin for carrying out the duties as the acting department chief and acting police chief,” he said.
Meanwhile, Roselina in her speech, said she was thankful that she was transferred back to Sarawak IPK as the state is held close to her heart.
She also informed that the state is not her first contingent in her career as she had previously served in Kuala Lumpur IPK and Johor IPK, both in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
“With my experiences, I hope I will be able to perform my duties well.
“I also hope to be guided by our Sarawak CP and DCP and get the support from department chiefs, police chiefs and senior officers,” she said.
Prior to her appointment as Sarawak JIPS chief, she was the Bukit Aman CID Assistant Director of D4 (Intelligence and Operations).
