KUCHING: The acting Head of State, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, has received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Sarawak Attorney General (AG), Datuk Saferi Ali, at Astana Negeri here today (Sept 15).
Saferi said that his first courtesy call aimed to seek guidance and insights from Mohamad Asfia following his recent appointment as the AG of Sarawak.
“The main goal of this visit is to gather advice after stepping into the role, previously held by Datuk Seri Talat Mahmood Abdul Rashid,” Saferi said after the courtesy call.
He also shared that he met with Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on Thursday.
Saferi was appointed as the new AG, replacing Talat effective September 7.
