KUCHING: Members of the Action Council, a joint Sarawak – Federal government action committee, met to discuss development issues in the state yesterday.
The meeting, held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here, was chaired by its joint chairmen Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas representing Sarawak and Works Minister Baru Bian representing the federal government.
Among the issues discussed were the performance of development projects implemented under the Fourth Rolling Plan of the 11th Malaysia Plan, the implementation of dilapidated school projects and Health Ministry development projects under the 11th Malaysia Plan.
Those attending were elected representatives from the Democratic Action Party (DAP) including Violet Yong and Chiew Chiu Sing and See Chee How from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
Also attending were senior state and federal government officers.
