BINTULU: About 300 villagers in Kampung Assyakirin Fasa 1 here underwent Covid-19 active case detection on Monday (Feb 22).
Conducted by the Bintulu Health Office, the operations was carried out after a resident tested positive for Covid-19 last Saturday.
Ketua Kaum of Kampung Assyakirin Fasa 1, Pengiran Hamdan Pengiran Kerta said the operations was the best approach in ensuring that the deadly virus did not spread to other settlements.
He also hoped that the villagers would continue to fully comply with the mandatory 14-day quarantine period as well as the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set.
Forty household heads in the village also received food assistance from the Bintulu Welfare Department. The village was subjected to full movement restrictions on Sunday.
