MIRI: School leavers are urged to opt for courses that offer subjects related to living skills. According to Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau, these subjects, especially those emphasizing technology, will ensure students are prepared for the job market.

“We must prepare and adapt to the trend especially in digital economy. Take up coding or programming courses,” he said at the launch of Project of Dream Realised (PRO-DR) roadshow here yesterday.

He added that the digital economy will definitely transform the state’s economy.

The digital economy will contribute about 17.4 percent of the state’s GDP in 2025,  he reckoned.

Ngau also reminded parents to seek guidance or approach their children’s teachers to understand their children’s abilities and skills.
