SIBU: The Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) has organised crocodile handling courses to address the challenges posed by crocodile conflicts in various regions of Sarawak.

The training, conducted at the Sibu Regional Office, focused on improving existing procedures and incorporated elements of public speaking for all participants on Wednesday.

SFC in a Facebook commended the dedicated SFC personnel engaged in these efforts.

The corporation then encouraged locals affected by crocodile presence to stay vigilant and adhere to the advice provided by SFC enforcement officers.

In recent years, Sarawak has witnessed dozens of crocodile attack tragedies in every corner of the state.

This has instilled fear among residents living near rivers, swamps, or drains, prompting them to remain on constant alert.

Despite their vigilance, there are frequent reports of crocodile attacks leading to the loss of lives.

Therefore, the efforts of the SFC to curb this ongoing concern and provide relief to the locals are commendable
