SIMANGGANG: Local residents are reminded to appreciate their health by adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Deputy Minister of Talent Development  Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, who is also Simanggang assemblyman, said the community is dealing with a variety of health issues as a result of various diseases.

“Therefore, value your health and that of your family, because only we ourselves are capable and know about our own health situation.

“No matter how much wealth, if health is not taken care of, it will be wasted,” he said when addressing the local community in his constituency.

He pointed out that the Simanggang Service Centre’s efforts is to cater to the community that needs help in living a life that is given attention as a social welfare responsibility.

“But what is important is the effort to get welfare assistance from the Department of Social Welfare (JKM),” he said.

During the programme, Harden had the opportunity to visit several bedridden patients, namely Muhamad Irfan Syah Abdullah@Guntor Munan, who was paralysed due to a stroke in a rented house in Sri Jaya.

He also visited Suda Suntai who has undergone leg amputation surgery, Kho Mei Kiaw who has undergone neck surgery and Chai Min Kiong at his residence in Jalan Foochow, Sri Aman.
