KUCHING: Day nine of the lawn bowls event saw a mixed performance from the Sarawak team.

The morning session began with some successes, particularly in the men’s singles, where Sarawak player Muhammad Zikrullah Zaidi emerged victorious against Pahang with a score of 21-12.

The four men’s team also delivered a strong performance, defeating Pulau Pinang with a decisive 20-6 win.

However, the women’s team faced more challenges. The triple women’s team was defeated by Sabah, losing 11-17, while the women’s pairs suffered a loss against Terengganu, ending with a score of 10-20.

The afternoon session brought continued mixed results. The four men’s team secured another victory, this time against Perlis, with a dominant 22-2 finish.

In contrast, the women’s triple struggled, facing a heavy defeat against Wilayah with a score of 1-20.

Meanwhile, the men’s singles team recorded another win, overcoming Terengganu with a 21-12 scoreline.

In the final match of the day, the women’s pair team lost to Pulau Pinang by a small margin of 15-16.
