SINGAPORE: Over 100 cutting-edge products designed to meet the evolving needs of the ageing population will be showcased at the Ageing Asia Innovation Exhibition for two days from May 8, 2024, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, here.

It is held as part of The World Ageing Festival 2024.

The products range from categories such as Assistive Living, Home and Community Care, Active Ageing, Technology, Rehabilitation, and Wellness.

Ageing Asia Pte Ltd founder and managing director Janice Chia said the organising team is excited to spotlight the latest trends and solutions that will tap on the market potential of Asia Pacific’s US$4.56 trillion silver economy at the exhibition.

“In our pursuit of innovation in the area of ageing, our team has traversed the globe over the past year to glean insights from the world’s foremost nations and companies,” she said in a statement, Thursday.

Among the products from around the globe that will be featured for the first time at the exhibition are the Anto Smart Cushion, Bike Labyrinth, KLOUD Complete System, eAlertCare™ System, recoveriX Neurorehabilitation, iAgeHealth, SODA Cognition Training Machine, New Technogym Checkup, Fesia Walk FootDrop System, and Yunlin Life Apartment.

A product like the Anto Smart Cushion is designed to assess, self-monitor, and prevent the risk of pressure injuries and falls for wheelchair users, while the recoveriX Neurorehabilitation from Austria utilises brain-computer-interface technology to aid stroke or multiple sclerosis patients in regaining lost functions and improving overall well-being.

Entrance to the exhibition is free but visitors have to register. Get more information including registration details and the full list of exhibitors at https://www.worldageingfestival.com/.

Meanwhile, the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) will be presenting the Ageing Startup Pitch Stadium Finals as part of its Geronpreneurship Innovation Festival at The World Ageing Festival 2024.

Budding entrepreneurs, such as those from SUSS’ Venture Builder Programme, will showcase inventive ideas and solutions tailored to address the needs of seniors and the eldercare sector.

Meanwhile, The World Ageing Festival 2024, which will be held for five days from May 6, is expected to gather 5,000 participants from business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) sectors, uniting representatives from 50 countries to explore the latest innovations and industry showcases. – BERNAMA
