KUCHING: Agrobank will be commencing its mobile banking services to rural areas of Sarawak starting from July 12 onwards in line with National Rehabilitation Plan (NRP) Phase 1.
“This initiative is collaboration between the Sarawak state government and Bank Negara Malaysia with the participating banks to facilitate the banking of residents in the state.
“This service is to provide more comprehensive access to the rural community to access banking services,” said the regional director of Agrobank Sarawak Abdul Halek Abdullah.
He added that the mobile services will cover the Padawan-Tebedu area at the compound of the Padawan sub-district office from July 12 to July 16 starting from 10am to 3pm.
“We are offering services such as Automated Teller Machine Service (ATM Machine); Account and Debit Card opening counter; and Promotion of Takaful Kasih Plus products,” he pointed out.
He reminded all residents to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and practise social distancing while using the Agrobank mobile banking services facility.
