SIBU: All participants of the Sibu “RUN FOR INSURANCE 2018” on November 25 at the Sibu Town Square here will be covered with a personal accident insurance sponsored by AIA Bhd.
Director of Agency, Agency Distribution of AIA Bhd Jerome Leong presented the letter of sponsorship to NAMLIFA Sibu Branch chairman Pang Chua Hua.
“The contribution is part of AIA’s community project to spread the awareness on the insurance campaign that will cover all runners, organising committee and voluntary helpers during the event that morning,” he said.
In addition, the organising committee has also received the approval from the assistant registrar of the Registrar of Institution and Teachers of Sarawak Education Department and letter from the District Education Officer, Radin Foji Radin Abdul Rahim to allow and encourage teachers and students to attend this meaningful event.
In conjunction with the approval, additional time has been given until November 15 for schools and intended runners to register.
Meanwhile, the organising chairman, Ngu Shin Pui and Pang revealed that the registration of the run has breached the 1,000 mark and expected that more students, churches and associations would take part in the run.
The run will be held on November 25 and runners need to assemble at the Sibu Town Square at 6am as the flag off will begin at 6.30am.
