KUCHING: Kuching City FC head coach Aidil Sharin was satisfied with his team’s 1-0 victory over Kelantan Darul Naim FC and the clean sheet achieved.

“We are very happy with the points we earned tonight). The credit goes to the players for their hard work under challenging conditions,” Aidil told reporters at Stadium Negeri on Monday (Aug 26).

He noted that while the team had several opportunities and could have won by a larger margin, they need to improve their finishing.

“We had chances to win by at least three or four goals.

“But, let’s not forget the players did well, and we need to strengthen our team to be more sharper (in front of goal),” said Aidil.

He highlighted the need for improvements in ball possession and attacking play but praised the team’s discipline in securing the clean sheet.

“It was a good game. Both teams played well, but we need to work hard to enhance our strengths,” he added.
