KUCHING: The Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Ministry (KWKPK) handed out Raya goodies to 302 KWKPK, Sarawak Social Welfare Department, Women and Family Department, and SeDidik staff on Thursday (May 6).
The event, carried out in strict Covid-19 SOP compliance, was in conjunction with the coming Aidilfitri and Gawai celebrations.
Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said it was also aimed to strengthen the bond between staff of the agencies under the ministry.
She reminded them to comply with SOP during the celebrations to prevent any cases of Covid-19.
In the same event, Tay Motors Company also distributed 180 packets of dates and 180 boxes of facemask.
Among the government’s initiatives through the ministry’s are Endowment Fund Sarawak, Bantuan Ibu Bersalin, Geran Tahunan Khas, Kenyalang Gold Card, Bantuan Ihsan Kematian and Bantuan Pesakit Buah Pinggang.
