For the past 51 years, Sarawak Foundation (Yayasan Sarawak) has played a leading role in providing financial assistance to Sarawakian students in need in accordance with the Sarawak Foundation Ordinance 1971.

A total of 2,591 new applications for Local Education Loan Scholarships had been approved as of October 2022.

Education loan schemes totalling RM39.68 million have been disbursed to current and new Sarawakian students.

 

The Overseas Education Loan scheme has approved 82 students’ applications to study at various selected institutions abroad.

Meanwhile, 1,192 applications for the Technical Loan scheme for Sarawakian students enrolled in technical courses at any local technical or skill training institution on the Sarawak Foundation panel have been approved.

Students pursuing full-time studies in Engineering and Quantity Surveying at public institutions of higher learning and selected private institutions of higher learning in Sarawak are eligible for the Sarawak Higher Education Fund Loan Scheme. A total of 177 applications for eligible students have been approved so far.

The Sarawak Foundation had disbursed a total of RM65.36 million for all educational loan schemes that had benefited current and new Sarawakian students as of October 2022.

Sarawakian students who have been accepted by a public university or a private university owned by the Sarawak government can apply for an education loan online at www.yayasansarawak.org.my.
