KUALA LUMPUR: Asia’s leading low-cost carrier, AirAsia, is offering guests one million zero-fare seats to long-haul destinations, including Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India.

The promotional airfares on sale by its long-haul affiliate AirAsia X are free excluding taxes and any applicable fees, the airline said in a statement today.

Up for grabs are promotional seats from Kuala Lumpur to destinations including Melbourne (Avalon), Gold Coast, Perth, Sydney, Fukuoka, Tokyo (Narita), Seoul, Busan, Taipei and Ahmedabad.

Guests have 72 hours to book their flights by logging in to airasia.com or via the AirAsia mobile app starting on Monday (Feb 24) for travel between March 1, 2020 and Oct 31, 2020.

AirAsia group head of commercial Amanda Woo said, this is the first time the airline is offering zero-fare seats for long-haul destinations.

“Not only are there promo seats on sale, we’ve also ensured there is an extended travel period from March through to the end of October to appeal to a broad range of travellers,” she added. – Bernama
