BAU: The growing number of divorce cases in the Puncak Borneo parliamentary constituency is causing concern.

However, its Member of Parliament Datuk Willie Mongin did not provide specific figures regarding the number and percentage of divorce cases in the area. In addition to urging women to prioritise family harmony, Willie also encouraged them to maintain a good appearance and character to protect the dignity of women.

“Families are the foundation of our society, and their well-being is paramount to our happiness and prosperity,” Willie said during a dinner event at Kampung Skio Community Hall, in celebration of World Women’s Day on Saturday night.

He also urged women to improve their family’s economic status by venturing into various business and economic fields, citing successful female entrepreneurs like Awaeang Kwasin from Kampung Bratan.

Willie further promised to continue working towards development in the constituency and announced an allocation of RM20,000 for the Puncak Borneo Women’s Association to fund their various planned activities.
