KOTA SAMARAHAN: Swift action by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) staff in putting out an air conditioner fire probably saved a laboratory block.
The State Fire Department said it despatched a team of firefighters from the Kota Samarahan fire station to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 11.58 pm last Friday (Dec 25).
Upon arrival, the firefighters realised the alert university staff had extinguished the fire with three fire extinguishers.
No casualties were reported during the incident.
