SIMANGGANG: Educational institutions, the government, private sector and the community must collaborate to ensure every individual has access to quality education.

“The government, through various initiatives such as educational assistance programme, scholarships, and educational loan schemes, is striving to ensure every student, regardless of background, has the opportunity to receive the best education,” said Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.

Speaking at the Sri Aman District Education Office’s Education and Career Day exhibition on Monday (Nov 25) he said this is all part of an action plan to achieve goals set by the Malaysia Education Development Plan.

One of its priority areas has to do with getting individuals ready for higher education and thereafter the career market.

Harden noted that seven educational institutions under Yayasan Sarawak and two government agencies participated in this year’s education and career exhibition.

“A heartfelt appreciation to all these educational institutions for their initiative and commitment to empowering the children of Sri Aman to inspire their own futures.

“Kudos to the Sri Aman District Education Office and Yayasan Sarawak for their support and efforts in elevating the dignity of education here,” he added.

He stated that the exhibition not only focused on universities and colleges but also on various skill and training courses that can help individuals develop their potential in an increasingly challenging job market.

“I believe every student has immense potential to achieve success, and with proper guidance and accurate information, they will be able to make the best choices for their future,” he added.
