SIBU: The Sibu Indoor Stadium is all set for tonight’s Sarawak Day celebration.
Approximately 1,200 invited guests including Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib as well as Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang will be attending the celebration.
The celebration will also be aired via livestream on TVS at Astro 122 and MyTV as well as on Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Guests will be wowed by various programmes that have been arranged by main organiser, the Sarawak Protocol and Event Management Unit (UPPAN).
One of the main highlights for the celebration is a special video titled ‘Sarawak Makmur’ or ‘Prosperous Sarawak’ which will bring the audience to the beginnings and struggles before the birth of Sarawak.
Besides that, performances lined up include a special musical theater, Prodigy Orchestra, Tuku Kame, ‘Thousand Hand, Thousand Hope’ dance performance and the rendition of ‘Sarawak Day 2022’ song performance.
