BINTULU: All types of Covid-19 vaccine, including Sinovac and Pfizer-BioNTech, used in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme serve the same purpose, said Bintulu Division Health Officer Dr Melvin Chung Hsien Liang.
He said however, his party would be powerless to intervene on the public’s choice of vaccine.
“If they are not satisfied with the given vaccine, they can refuse it through the MySejahtera app and they will be granted a new appointment,” he said on Sunday at Dinner World Restaurant Bintulu vaccination centre (PPV) here.
He said an infographic which shows the demonstration on how to arrange for a new appointment has been posted in the MySejahtera app.
Meanwhile, he urged the community to not worry about running out of vaccination supplies or having insufficient vaccines, and also reminded them to be at the PPV on time for their vaccination appointment.
“We hope that those who will be receiving their jabs arrive at the PPV on time to avoid congestion and disruption,” he added.
