KUCHING: SaraWorks Sdn Bhd has identified an alternative route and upgraded it for the convenience of road users in the surrounding areas.
“As the affected stretch is temporarily closed until further notice, we have since identified an alternative route and upgraded the road, which is now open to traffic,” it said in a statement today.
SaraWorks also expressed regret over the unforeseen fire incident on Nov 16 at KP 132 of the Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline (SSGP), which is in the vicinity of the CH18+400 Sarawak-Sabah Link Road (SSLR) project. One person died while three were injured in the tragedy.
“Our sub-contractor Kimlun Sdn Bhd and consultants Perunding Irzi will cooperate with all relevant authorities and stakeholders to undertake a thorough investigation into the incident.
“We will also put our immediate focus on looking into the victims’ requirements for medical assistance and financial assistance for their immediate families.
“We appeal to the public to bear with us during this crisis and to give us full cooperation at the affected location in ensuring safe and smooth traffic diversion.”
