KUCHING: Those who wish to experience the Chinese community’s rich culture should attend the 617 ‘Exchange Melodies’ concert on June 17.
Organised by the Chung Hua Middle School No. 1 Alumni Association, the concert will be held at the Chung Hua Middle School No. 3 assembly hall at 7 pm.
The concert is co-organised by the Chinese orchestra from Chung Hu Middle School No. 1, Oriental Traditional Orchestra Kuching, Nan Yen Folk Orchestra, Kenwy Music and Arts Academy and Bearamos Music Centre.
“It will feature, among others, choir singing, pipa solo, flute solo, yang qin performance, and Chinese orchestra ensemble.
“Additionally, several Chinese instrumentalists from Singapore’s national-level mentor will also participate in the event and exchange musical experience,” the association said in a press release.
Regular ticket swill be sold at RM30 while the VIP tickets will be sold at RM50. They can be purchased at several locations such as Life Cafe (Padungan, Brighton Square or Train Terrace) and the Chung Hua Middle School No. 1 Alumni Association secretariate in Pending.
