IPOH: The Perak Football Association (PAFA) yesterday confirmed they have secured the services of former PKNS FC defender, Zac Anderson, for the upcoming Malaysian League season.
Perak coach Adly Shah Ahmad Tah said the Australian player signed a one-year contract with The Bos Gaurus squad after an agreement was reached between the two parties.
“Anderson has the experience of playing here and he also has leadership qualities in the middle of the field as well as a physical advantage, that can help the team,” he said in a statement here yesterday.
Meanwhile, Adly said Perak would be retaining goalkeeper Muhammad Hafizul Hakim Khairul Nizam Jothy, who helped the squad secure the Malaysia Cup this season. “I can confirm that he will remain with Perak, and claims linking many of our players to other clubs are not true,” he said.
Perak finished the league this season in second place, behind Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT).-Bernama
