KUALA LUMPUR: In line with Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (Azam) Sarawak’s commitment to drive transformation through the Mansang initiative, the organisation had the opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to the office of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof here today.
This visit opens the door for Azam Sarawak to share its achievements and strategic insights in implementing community and youth development projects in Sarawak.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen Azam’s efforts in supporting sustainable and inclusive community development.
“This courtesy visit is a significant step in enhancing our strategic cooperation, opening avenues for Azam to explore collaboration opportunities at the national and international levels, particularly in the Asean region, to accelerate community development in Sarawak.
“Through inclusive and collaborative communication, we believe we can achieve a greater impact in empowering communities and youth in the state,” said Azam Sarawak CEO Mohd Ali Suhaili.
The hour-long visit provided positive encouragement for Azam in supporting socioeconomic programmes that can translate into tangible actions on the ground.
It also focused on state and federal development agendas that will provide long-term benefits to communities across Sarawak.
Completing the visit this morning, Azam also fulfilled an invitation from the SDG Centre KL, which was postponed due to bad weather in Kuala Lumpur.
The visit to the SDG Centre aimed to identify collaboration opportunities to ensure the principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are integrated into Azam’s community development programs in Sarawak.
“The visit to the SDG Centre KL opens significant opportunities for us to understand more deeply how SDG principles can be applied in our community projects.
“This is a crucial opportunity to ensure our initiatives continue to have a sustainable long-term impact on society.
“We also look forward to welcoming the delegation from the SDG Centre KL to Kuching from Oct 20 to 23 during the Sarawak Urban Forum, which will strengthen cooperation in realising sustainable development goals in Sarawak,” said Azam Sarawak strategic communications manager Hassnal Hakim.
“This courtesy visit reflects Azam Sarawak’s commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation in advancing community and youth development in Sarawak,” he said.
