DEBAK: A longhouse in the Debak sub-district has been placed under the movement control order (MCO) until March 25.

Twenty families and a total of 61 occupants from Menyalin Baru longhouse were ordered to undergo health screening tests last Friday (March 13).

Sanitisation work was carried out immediately and the Betong Social Welfare Department (JKMS) also came forward to deliver food aid to the residents.

Tuai Rumah Daniel Ranti advised all residents to cooperate with the government agencies that handled their quarantine period.

He called on all residents to undergo health screening tests to enable staff from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) to identify those who were Covid-19 positive.

“Do not run away from the screening test. Think about the safety of our family members and close relatives by helping the government to curb the spread of the   virus,” he said.

He thanked the government for its concern and swift action.

Food aid for residents have been delivered to the longhouse that was placed under the movement control order (MCO).
